Take your place

What happened

Requests waiting on you, and a quiet line for anyone who touched a memory of yours.

Keep it on your phone

It opens like an app, in its own window, and stops asking you to sign in.

Handles

Reserve the names that belong to the tree, and repair one that went to the wrong person.
Their old handle is freed and can be reserved afterwards.

More

Everything that doesn't fit across the top.

Find someone

Search by handle, name or email. Handles find anyone in the sky; names and emails only turn up for people you are allowed to know.

What this sky is

Every person here is a star. You are at the centre of your own.
Reading your sky

Colour is how someone is related to you. Amber for those you come from, cyan for brothers and sisters, green for those who come from you, violet for the wider family, rose for friends.

Rings are how far through the family they sit. Your mother is one ring out. Her brother, two.

Size is how much you have shared. The more memories between you, the larger the star grows.

An example

@oracle writes about his daughter's first day at school and sends it to close family. Six people receive it. Nobody else on the tree sees it — not in a feed, not by searching, not in the database itself.

Months later @oracle and his cousin have shared a hundred small things. Her star has grown large in his sky, and his in hers. Nobody decided that. It simply became true.

Why this is not like the other places

A memory goes only to the people you name. There is no public.

No followers. No likes from strangers. Nothing is pushed at anyone.

Your name and face reach the family around you, not everyone who signs in.

A friend is never counted as family. What you send your family stays inside it.

Nobody can buy their way into your sky.

Keep it on your phone

Open this in your normal browser — not the small one inside WhatsApp, which forgets you every time. Then choose Add to Home Screen from the share menu.

It opens like an app, and it will not ask you to sign in again.

The question here is never who is following you. It is who belongs in this memory.

Move names into the vault

A one-time repair. Every name, email, birthday and note currently sitting in the open moves into the gated identity records, and is then deleted from the public structure. Run it once.
Run "Move them" once, ever. Then press "Refresh who can see" whenever people join — it works out, for every person, which stars and names lie within their seven connections, and writes it down. Until you press it, newcomers cannot see the sky and nobody can see them.

Draw a line

Connect two people who already have a place in the sky — a friend to a friend, or one family to another.

Your details

Your handle is always visible to the family. Everything else, you choose who reaches.
Letters and numbers. Change it whenever you like — your old handle stays reserved to you, so nobody can take it and pretend to be you.
Kept inside your private record, so only the people who may know your name can see your face. Shrunk on your device before it is saved.
Day and month let the tree celebrate you. The year is kept separately and stays tighter by default.

My constellations

A constellation is a handful of people you pick yourself — the cousins you actually talk to, the four who were on the trip, your sisters.
It is only a shortcut for you. Nobody else can see your constellations, and nobody is told they are in one. It exists so that choosing who receives a memory takes one tap instead of ten.
Nobody chosen yet.
